Why did I choose this program?

Hi again! Today I will talk about the reasons behind my choice of university career.


When I was a child I liked many professions and jobs, teacher, veterinarian, waitress or a




doctor. I remember that I liked to imagine that I was a waitress and I invented a restaurant

in the garden of my grandparents and I served them imaginary food.


Years later, already at school, my two favorite subjects were mathematics and history.


In fact, I was three years to participate in a mathematics championship (But in secondary

I got bored of mathematics) and with history, throughout my school season, was my favorite

subjects and almost always my best marks.






In the last year of high school, I wasn’t sure about what career to follow. I liked pedagogy in




history but later I realized that I liked history but I didn´t like to teach, in this moment 

I discarded that option. Later, I started to investigate about

different careers and I read about Social Work and I loved it <3.




The aspect that I liked the most was that I felt that studying Social Work would allow me to

contribute in the creation of a society with more social justice. For that reason

I chose Social Work, even though my father tried to convince me to study Law.




My experience in the university has been very good and nice! I like the classes and I

feel that I learn something new every day. At the same time, I´ve met very nice

people that I already feel like real friends <3






Finally, about the kind of job that I would like to have, I would like to work in

the field of health, in a hospital for example. However, I'm just starting in the career and

I can change my mind!
